Application Requirements

  1. Complete all application form fields below
  2. Upload a Statement – Provide a written essay, PowerPoint presentation, video, or audio recording that explains:
    • Your academic, social, career, and/or personal goals,
    • How you expect participating in Beyond Access will help you to achieve these goals, and
    • Why you would be unable to participate in Beyond Access without the aid of a scholarship
  3. Authorization Requirement – Provide e-signature authorization for the Beyond Access program to verify your class standing and financial aid package.

Statement of Goals and Financial Need

Please upload a statement explaining (1) your academic, social, career, and/or personal goals, (2) how you expect participating in Beyond Access will help you to achieve these goals, and (3) why you would be unable to participate in Beyond Access without the aid of a scholarship. You may share this information as an essay (Word or PDF format), a PowerPoint presentation, a video, or an audio recording.

If your statement exceeds the maximum file size that can be uploaded, please email it as an attachment to csdbeyondaccess@uconn.edu.

After Submitting

Confirmation – You will receive automatic confirmation of receipt at the email address you enter in this form. If you do not receive a confirmation email, you entered an incorrect email address or your form was not received and you will need to resubmit. We recommend that you maintain a copy of your responses in case your application is not received.

Award Notification – Award recipients will be notified by the Scholarship Committee via their UConn email address, typically by the end of the first week of classes.
